Marie-Pierre Ulloa
A graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holder of a doctorate from the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS), Marie-Pierre Ulloa is the author of Francis Jeanson, un intellectuel en dissidence, de la Résistance à la guerre d'Algérie (Berg International, Paris, 2001, Stanford University Press, 2008, Casbah Éditions, Alger, 2009) and Le Nouveau Rêve américain : Du Maghreb à la Californie (Éditions du CNRS, 2019). She teaches at Stanford University. Her work focuses on the cultural and intellectual history of the contemporary Maghreb and the French-speaking world.
Member of the Taube Center for Jewish Studies, the Mediterranean Studies Forum-Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies at Stanford, research associate at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales. Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2013).
