Collège de France Award

Collège de France Award for young researchers

Starting in 2022, the Collège de France Award will be presented annually to a young researcher chosen for the excellence of his/her career and the innovative nature of his/her contributions to public research. The prize consists of a cash award of 20 000 euros and an invitation to give a public lecture at the Collège de France. The winner also receives a bronze medal from the Collège de France.

As a leading player in French research, the Collège de France wishes to encourage excellence and the most daring research by the next generation of scientists.

In keeping with the multi-disciplinary spirit of the Collège de France, the prize is awarded alternately each year to a winner in the fields of mathematics, computer science, experimental science and natural sciences, or in the humanities and social sciences. Candidates must have defended their thesis less than seven years ago, and be working in a public research laboratory in France.
