Michael Drolet is Senior Research Fellow in the History of Political Thought at Worcester College, Oxford University. He works mainly on nineteenth-century French liberalism and socialism . He is the author of numerous articles on the work of the Doctrinaires, the political and social thought of Alexis de Tocqueville, including a book entitled Tocqueville, Democracy, and Social Reform (Palgrave Macmillan, 2003), Saint-Simonism, and the work of Pierre and Jules Leroux. He is co-author, with Ludovic Frobert, of Jules Leroux. D'une philosophie économique barbare (Le bord de l'eau, 2022). He is currently working on an intellectual biography of Michel Chevalier (1806-1879) and an English edition of the works of Henri Saint-Simon.
