Abstract

" One day, someone, somewhere, something happened to him. " Time. Subject. Space. Event. If any narrative is always articulated around these four dimensions, among them, time holds the thread around which the other three are articulated. Whether sagittal or circular, whether interweaving past, present and future, time is the foundation on which a narrative rests. And of all forms of expression, music is the one most closely interwoven with its writing. In this seminar, we'll explore the narrative power of time by looking at how music tames its complexity and infinite possibilities. What it is to write by writing time.

Abstract from Louis Langrée's talk

" Vivre la musique ", or how musical language makes us feel and perceive, from the very first notes, the notion of time and space, the feeling and character specific to each work. Discussion with Wajdi Mouawad.
