Robert Pogue Harrison is Professor of French and Italian Literature at Stanford University and an essayist. He has been a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences since 2007. In 2013, he was awarded the Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres de la République française.
I am a professor of French & Italian literature and culture at Stanford, author of 5 books, all of which have been translated into French (by Flammarion and Le Pommier). I gave a course at the College de France in May 2010, invited by Carlo Ossola and Yves Bonnefoy .
