Laurence Nigay
Laurence Nigay is a professor at Grenoble-Alpes University and the Institut Universitaire de France (junior 2004-09, senior 2019-24). She heads the Human-Computer Interaction Engineering research team at the Grenoble Computer Science Laboratory (LIG). She is also responsible for the LIG's Interactive and Cognitive Systems axis, comprising four complementary teams.
A specialist in multimodal human-machine interaction (CNRS bronze medal in 2002), her research focuses on the design and modeling of new interaction modalities and forms of multimodal interaction within a computerized space, harmoniously combining the physical and digital worlds, in the service of human activities.
