Abstract

Alongside pollinators, plant communities are also changing, in response to a variety of human-induced pressures : changes in land use causing the local disappearance of species specializing in certain habitats, nitrate and biocide pollution leading to a recomposition of communities, climate change causing populations to move towards the poles or to higher altitudes... The lecture will describe these various changes, as measured in particular in France and Europe thanks to participatory science programs. It will also look at the possible role of pollinators and their decline in these changes, and conversely at the consequences of changes in plant communities in terms of the availability of food resources for pollinators.
