Jeff Koons was born in Pennsylvania in 1955. He lives and works in New York. A world-famous American artist, he heads a studio with dozens of assistants who produce his paintings and sculptures to extremely precise instructions. His pop and hyperrealistic paintings, with their baroque compositions, each require hundreds of hours of work. A major retrospective of the artist's work will be presented at the Centre Pompidou in Paris from November 26, 2014, and at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in summer 2015.
