Abstract

For Thomas Lévy-Lasne, painting means playing a game bigger than oneself. A game that engages his entire existence. A physical, sensual and intellectual game. A game of chemistry, strategy and culture. A game of love, humility and perseverance. A game of mastery, chance and carelessness. A game with canvas, brushes, powdered color, wood, viscous liquids of all kinds, his body and that's all. He will describe the conditions under which this game is played, in which the rules are altered according to one's desire, and in which one can indulge in cheating.
