Abstract

This study will attempt to present Roman literature's view of the Sahara. We'll take a look at how the Romans perceived this region, and recall the latitudinal extent they attributed to it. We will then examine the image(s) given to its peoples, trying to identify and analyze socio-cultural aspects that might correspond to a distorted vision, in line with preconceived ideas.
