Abstract
Mr. Bastien Lemaire returns to the issue of the use of hydraulic energy in Antiquity with a presentation of the excavations at the Roman villa of La Chaberte (La Garde, Var). This research, carried out in 2013, revealed the existence of a hydraulic mill as part of a series of similar installations on neighbouring farms. This discovery lends credence to the theory that this type of equipment was widespread in Narbonne Gaul during the Early Empire.
