Trade between the Roman Empire, Arabia and India in the light of archaeological excavations in Egypt's Eastern Desert (end)

from to

In 2014-2015, the lecture on the infrastructure of Eritrean trade in the Roman Empire was continued, focusing on the study of the final phase of military control of the caravan routes in relation to the occupation of the ports bordering the Red Sea. The chronology of the end of the Roman military occupation of the Eastern Desert was first reviewed thanks to the results of the excavations at the Xeron Pelagos fort. The archaeology of each port on the Egyptian shore of the Red Sea was then examined.
