This lecture briefly describes the general organization of the lectures and the main problem classes, before going on to discuss the problem of medical image registration in greater detail. After a historical presentation of the first approaches, which were limited to rigid objects, the most recent algorithms are presented: they allow us to take into account anatomical deformations modeled by diffeomorphisms (very regular invertible transformations).
This lecture is complemented by the following two seminars:
- "Digital image-guided surgery of the future", Jacques Marescaux (IHU Strasbourg);
- Cardiology of the future in the era of the digital patient", Michel Haïssaguerre (Bordeaux University Hospital).
