Gilles Philippe
Gilles Philippe is Professor of French Linguistics at the University of Lausanne. He has devoted several books to the history of language imaginaries and stylistic practices in the 19th and 20th centuries. His latest book was published in 2021 under the title Pourquoi le style change-t-il (Brussels, Les Impressions nouvelles). Gilles Philippe is a regular contributor to Éditions Gallimard's Bibliothèque de la Pléiade ; he recently published, with Emmanuelle Lambert, a volume of Jean Genet's novels and poems.
