Élie During is a lecturer at the University of Paris Nanterre, where he teaches contemporary French philosophy. He is currently a junior member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF). His research on the notion of space-time takes him to the crossroads of metaphysics, philosophy of science and aesthetics. He has edited several volumes of Henri Bergson's works for Presses universitaires de France(Durée et simultanéité: à propos de la théorie d'Einstein, 2009; Le souvenir du présent et la fausse reconnaissance, 2012), and more recently Le Paradoxe des jumeaux: deux conférences sur la relativité by physicist Paul Langevin (Presses universitaires de Paris Nanterre, 2016).
