Jean-Michel Rabaté, Professor of English and American Literature at the University of Pennsylvania (Philadelphia), is one of the editors of the Journal of Modern Literature, a founder of the Slought Foundation, and a member of theAmerican Academy of Arts and Sciences. He has published 40 books and collections.
