Thibault Damour is a theoretical physicist, professor at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques and member of the Académie des Sciences. He is known for his groundbreaking work on black holes, pulsars, gravitational waves and quantum cosmology. His honors include the Einstein Medal and the CNRS Gold Medal. Thibault Damour is co-author of several books on physics, including Entretiens sur la multitude du monde (with Jean-Claude Carrière; Odile Jacob poches, 2014), Si Einstein m'était conté (Le Cherche-Midi, 2012, Flammarion, coll. "Champs", 2016). He is also co-writer of the comic strip Le Mystère du monde quantique (with Mathieu Burniat; Dargaud, 2016).
