Abstract

This seminar will explore in detail the physical properties of Jupiter's Trojans. It will present NASA's LUCY mission, launched in 2021, which will encounter five Trojan objects between 2027 and 2033. We will also discuss the exciting discovery made in 2023, during the transfer phase, of a binary asteroid whose satellite is itself a contact binary.
