Abstract
This question is crucial to a full understanding of the evolution of the Solar System. We will examine various constraints, such as the evolution of the bombardment of telluric planets, recorded by lunar craters, the survival of binary objects in the Kuiper belt, as well as various dynamical hypotheses. Unfortunately, the answer remains elusive, and the question remains open, making this an exciting and constantly evolving area of research.
