Abstract

The Kuiper Belt is a collection of small bodies orbiting the Sun beyond Neptune, including Pluto. The structure of this belt is highly complex, with several subpopulations - cold, hot, resonant, dispersed and fossilized - which will be examined in detail in this lecture. This belt bears witness to the Solar System's complex evolutionary past.
