Juliette combines molecular genetics and imaging approaches to study abscission, the final step in cell division that physically separates two daughter cells in Drosophila. After completing her thesis at the École normale supérieure and a first postdoctoral internship at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), she joined the team of Jean-René Huynh, CNRS research director, where she was recruited as a CNRS research fellow. Her work has led to the identification of new molecular players regulating abscission in the Drosophila germ line, whose function is conserved in human cells.
