Myriam Chancy is a Guggenheim Fellow and HBA Chair in the Humanities at Scripps College. Her novels include: La Solitude des anges (2010), winner of the Guyana Prize for Caribbean Literature 2011, and Spirit of Haiti (2003), longlisted for the Commonwealth Prize, 2004. Her academic publications include From Sugar to Revolution: Women's Visions of Haiti, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic (2012) and Framing Silence: Revolutionary Novels by Haitian Women (Rutgers, 1997). Her latest academic work, Autochthonomies, will appear in 2020 with UIP, and 12 (Douze), a novel, will appear in 2021 with HarperCollins.
