Aline Muyle

Aline Muyle studies plant evolution at the genetic and epigenetic levels. Her thesis and first post-doctorate (2012-2017, Université Lyon 1) focused on the evolution of separate sexes and sex chromosomes in the white companion, a flowering plant in the carnation family. Her second postdoc (2017-2021, UCI, USA) aimed to study the importance of DNA methylation (an epigenetic mark) in arabica and maize. Aline Muyle joined CNRS in 2021 as a research fellow to study the role of epigenetics in the evolution of separate sexes and sex chromosomes in the white companion.
