Diego Cortez
I studied Biology in the University of Mexico. Then, I did my PhD in the group of Patrick Forterre at the Pasteur Institute (Paris) on archaeal genomics. Later, a 5-year Potsdoc in the group of Henrik Kaessmann (University of Lausanne, Switzerland) on the evolution of the Y chromosome in mammals. I joined the Center for Genome Science (University of Mexico) in 2015 where I work on sex determination and ageing in reptiles and birds.
