Trained as a chemist and Director of Research at Inserm, I lead a team at the Centre de biologie structurale in Montpellier, devoted to the study of molecular mechanisms involved in the (de)regulation of nuclear receptors, a large family of essential ligand-dependent transcription factors. Our approaches are multidisciplinary, and our investigative tools range from the atomic scale to that of the whole animal. We are particularly interested in nuclear receptors as therapeutic targets (cancer, metabolic and parasitic diseases), and as targets of environmental pollutants known as endocrine disruptors.
