Abstract
The years 1970 are, on the one hand, those of the linguistic turn, which, by making language a paradigm, is interested in the variable and the difference, and implies a certain mobility of the letter ; they are, on the other hand, the moment of the extension of world literature - literary productions circulate in an accelerated and abundant way - so that the letter, until then linked to logos and truth, becomes a mobile reality, much less important. In this context, translation offers itself as a " space of cultural redistribution ", capable of " de-universalizing ", and a space for reflection on a number of contemporary issues. For example, the problems raised by the translation of a racist text will sometimes lead to a critical translation, and sometimes to an interventionist translation, which consists in changing the text. In this way, we propose to see translation as an expression of the issues of the age in which it appears : by multiplying the possible types of translation, we also multiply the critical approaches to literary works.
