Abstract

The symmetric exclusion process is a model of interacting particles, describing sterically constrained low-dimensional transport phenomena. Exact solutions of this model help us to better understand non-equilibrium physics. In this seminar, we present some key results concerning this system, describe the methods used to solve them, and present some recent developments.
