Tristan Azzi

Tristan Azzi is Professor of Private Law at Paris Descartes University. He teaches intellectual property law, private international law and arbitration law, subjects to which he devotes most of his research work. Author of a thesis entitled Recherche sur la loi applicable aux droits voisins du droit d'auteur en droit international privé , defended in 2000 at the Université Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), he regularly publishes articles and case law notes in journals such as Recueil Dalloz, Semaine juridique, Propriétés intellectuelles, Revue trimestrielle de droit civil, Communication commerce électronique, Revue internationale du droit d'auteur, Journal du droit international, Revue critique de droit international privé and Revue de l'arbitrage. Tristan Azzi also has a number of administrative and scientific responsibilities. At Université Paris Descartes, he is in charge of the Master 1 Droit program and heads the Master 2 in International Business Law. He also sits on the Research Commission of the University's Academic Council (formerly the University's Scientific Council) and on the local Scientific Council of the Faculty of Law. He is also a member of the Conseil national des universités (CNU). He is also a member of several research associations and learned societies: Comité français de droit international privé, Association française pour la protection internationale du droit d'auteur (AFPIDA), Institut Art et Droit, Association Henri Capitant des amis de la culture juridique française, Réseau Trans Europe Experts (TEE).
