Abstract
Chapters 7-10 present several accounts of conquest. Before the conquest of the city of Ai (Jos 8), chapter 7relates a case of non-compliance with the ritual of the interdict. Jos 9raises the question of cohabitation instead of conquest, and Jos 10 shows Joshua commanding the sun and moon in the context of war. We'll try to understand the purpose of this rather disparate collection.
