Abstract
Using the skin as an example, this lecture will present the direct interactions between sensory neurons and immune cells, illustrating how these dialogues participate in inflammation and the regulation of local immunity. It will highlight the role of neurons in the detection, integration and sometimes modulation of immune signals, drawing on recent studies revealing functional circuits between the two systems in peripheral tissues.
