Abstract

This final lecture will explore the notion of immunoception, showing how the brain is able to detect and interpret signals of immune origin as a true sense in its own right. Drawing on recent work, it will illustrate how these perceptions can modulate emotional states, behaviors and homeostasis. This lecture will conclude the introduction to the main principles of neuroimmune interactions and open the way to the rest of the cycle, which will continue the exploration of these crossed dialogues.
