Romain Bourdoncle holds a PhD from the École normale supérieure (Paris), and since 2024 has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Philosophy of Language and Mind chair headed by Prof. François Recanati at the Collège de France.
His research focuses on the structure of the sharing and transmission of mental representations between individuals, through the study of various phenomena linked to communication, attitude attributions, interpretations of agreement and disagreement, joint attention and inner speech.
He is also leading a project exploring the links between language, behavior, society and health.
Before joining the Philosophy of Language and Mind Chair, Romain Bourdoncle coordinated, under the direction of Emmanuel Sander, the development of research-based educational resources to enrich mathematics teaching, as part of the Conseil Scientifique de l'Éducation Nationale chaired by Prof. Stanislas Dehaene.
