Matilde Manara studied modern literature at the University of Siena. From 2017 to 2020, she was a recipient of an INSPIRE-Marie Curie scholarship at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle-Paris 3, where she defended a thesis in comparative literature on modernist poetry. From 2020 to 2022, she held an ATER position at the University of Lille. Her most recent projects include translating and editing the correspondence between Franco Fortini and Hans Magnus Enzensberger (Quodlibet, 2022), writing a monograph on Andrea Zanzotto (Pacini, 2021) and co-editing a textbook to prepare the comparative literature test for the agrégation in modern literature for the years 2021-2022 (Atlande, 2020).
Matilde Manara is the recipient of the Anna Caroppo grant from the Fondation du Collège de France 2022 (proposed by William Marx, Comparative Literatures chair).
