Jacques-Henri Vollet is a certified doctor of philosophy (University of Geneva, 2017). After a postdoctorate at the University of Hamburg (2018 -2019), he obtained a postdoctorate at the University of Geneva (2020-2021). He is also co-director of the GRE (Collège de France).
In epistemology, his research focuses on the notion of certainty, the question of higher-order data and the epistemic norms of action and assertion. He defends a stable theory of knowledge against contextualist and impurist conceptions. In the philosophy of normativity, he is particularly interested in the debates surrounding the notions of reason and rationality.
