The European Night of Ideas at the Collège de France March 12, 2022

The Institut français and the Collège de France, in partnership with ARTE, are giving a voice to the committed young people of the twenty-seven member states at a major evening debate hosted by Nora Hamadi.

To mark the French presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Institut français and the Collège de France, in partnership with ARTE, are giving a voice to the committed youth of the twenty-seven member states at a major evening debate hosted by Nora Hamadi, journalist and presenter of the European magazine Vox Pop on ARTE.

The event will take place on March 12 at the Collège de France, from 8 pm to 11 pm, in the presence of the public (free entry subject to availability, no prior registration). It will be broadcast live in French(Institut français Facebook live) and English(Arte Documentary YouTube channel).

Fifty young people from all 27 EU countries will defend concrete public policy proposals for Europe, rooted in their experience of commitment and essential to meeting the challenges of tomorrow's Europe. They will then be debated with leading figures from research, civil society and public authorities.

Discussions will take place in French and English, with simultaneous translation.

Twelve young Europeans present twelve public policy proposals based on the three major contemporary issues to which they are committed: the environment, the European Union and the world, and citizens' rights and freedoms.
