European Heritage Days 2024 at the Collège de France

Every year, the Collège de France opens its doors for the European Heritage Days. OnSeptember21 and 22 2024, over 7 000 people discovered the history and missions of the institution.

The roof terrace of the Collège de France offered a breathtaking view of Paris.
On the historic Marcelin Berthelot site, visitors explored areas usually closed to the public. The assembly hall, where Collège de France professors hold their solemn deliberations, was one of the highlights of the tour.
The ephemeral boutique offered objects in the Collège's colors, as well as books from The Collège de France Publishing Department signed by their authors at signing sessions.
The Cardinal Lemoine site used to welcome the curious to the Collège de France's Institut des Civilisations. Reopened after seven years of renovation, the site brings together chairs, laboratories and libraries dedicated to the study of major civilizations and contemporary societies.
A program of mini-conferences, led by Collège de France professors, provided an insight into the wealth of current research in fields as varied as history, linguistics, biology, computer science and archaeology.
The Roman d'Alexandre, a collection of Alexander the Great's legendary exploits, was read by Emilie Yili Kang and Séram Borgel, students at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique - PSL.
