The Musée municipal Josèphe Jacquiot de Montgeron houses most of the archives of Canon Étienne Drioton (1889-1961), who held the chair of Egyptian Philology and Archaeology between 1957 and 1960. The site of Tôd, south of Luxor, is renowned for the remains of its temple dedicated to the god Montou. As an epigraphist, Drioton took part in the site's first excavations (1934-1936). He produced over 500 photographs, which have been digitized and processed under an agreement between the Musée Jacquiot and the Egyptology Library. These images are now available on Salamandre, the Collège de France's digital heritage library.
