Colloquium organized by Professor François-Xavier Fauvelle, from June 12 to 14 2023 in the Marguerite de Navarre amphitheatre at the Collège de France (Marcelin Berthelot site).

History of the Sahara from 650 to the present day

This symposium is the research seminar of the History and Archaeology of African Worlds chair at the Collège de France. It is co-organized and led by Prof. François-Xavier Fauvelle (Collège de France) and Ghislaine Lydon, Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). This seminar-colloquium, to be held in June 2023, is a follow-up to the one held in May 2002 on " Histoire du Sahara (jusqu'à 650 de notre ère ", organized by François-Xavier Fauvelle and Jean-Loïc Le Quellec, Director of Research Emeritus at the CNRS.
