Biography

Stéphanie P. Lacour is Professor at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and Director of the EPFL's Neuro-X interdisciplinary institute. Her work focuses on the design, manufacture and implementation of flexible electronic devices for communication with the nervous system. She has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant for electronic skins and an ERC Consolidator Grant (Swiss) for implantable bioelectronics. She was awarded the MIT Technology Review TR35 in 2006, a Royal Society University Fellowship in 2007 and the Bertarelli Chair in Neurotechnology, EPFL in 2012.

Stéphanie Lacour has been invited to hold the annual Technological Innovation Liliane Bettencourt Chair at the Collège de France for 2023-2024.
