Born in 1955, composer Pascal Dusapin has rapidly established himself as one of the strongest and most original personalities in music today. He is the author of numerous works, including five operas (among them Perelà, uomo di fumo, premiered at the Opéra Bastille in 2003, and Faustus, The Last Night at the Berlin Staatsoper in 2006). He holds the Chair of Artistic Creation at the Collège de France for 2006-2007.
