Federico Tarragoni
Federico Tarragoni is a sociologist and HDR lecturer at the University of Paris, where he founded the Centre de recherches interdisciplinaires sur le politique (CRIPOLIS). He currently co-directs the Laboratory of Social and Political Change (EA 7335) and holds the "Open School of Public Governance" chair at the Circle U European University Alliance. His work focuses on political ideologies, social conflicts and the dynamics of democratic politicization, which he approaches by bringing together sociology, history and political theory. He has published L'Énigme révolutionnaire (Les Prairies ordinaires, 2015), Sociologies de l'individu (La Découverte, 2018), L'Esprit démocratique du populisme (La Découverte, 2019), Émancipation (Anamosa, 2021) and Les Sociologies du conflit (Armand Colin, 2021). His research has been awarded the Schneider Aguirre Basualdo prize from the Chancellerie des Universités de Paris and the young sociologist prize from the Association internationale des sociologues de langue française (AISLF).
