Ann Jefferson is Professor Emerita of French at Oxford University. She is the author of several books, including, most recently, a biography of Nathalie Sarraute (Flammarion, 2019 / Princeton University Press, 2020) and Genius in France: An Idea and its Uses (Princeton University Press, 2015). She also contributed to the edition of Nathalie Sarraute's Œuvres complètes in the Pléiade and translated texts by Pierre Michon and Éric Vuillard.
