Jesse Veenvliet

Jesse Veenvliet studied Medicine at Radboud University (Nijmegen, Netherlands) and conducted an MSc in Experimental and Clinical Neuroscience (Utrecht University, Netherlands). After a PhD in Developmental & Molecular Neuroscience (University of Amsterdam, Netherlands) he moved to the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics (Berlin, Germany) for his post-doc, where he studied cellular decision making during axial elongation, and developed novel 3D models of embryo development. In May 2021, Jesse started his own lab at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics (Dresden, Germany). His team uses embryonic organoids (stembryos) to understand how mammalian embryos reproducibly shape themselves.
