This workshop provides a forum for dialogue with the latest research on translocations. It forms a link with the project of the same name directed by Prof. Bénédicte Savoy at the Technische Universität in Berlin. The term "translocations" is intended to encompass all phenomena and "categories of appropriation of works of art and heritage at the expense of a weaker party, whether economically or militarily".

The projects presented here will enable us to understand the methods and interrogations of those who delve into archives and inventories, and who investigate to better understand the eventful history of our collections. It will also be an opportunity to present the collection of source texts and images relating to the notion of translocations, currently presented by team members in Berlin in the form of two blogs.
