This seminar illustrated how clinical studies in the field of the interface between gut dysbiosis and metabolism are leading to the emergence of correlative associations with pathologies such as obesity, diabetes, liver cirrhosis and NASH. The seminar also provided an insight into how clinical studies are paving the way for interventional studies that may not only improve the pathologies mentioned, but also confirm causal links. Superb work "from the laboratory to the patient's bed and back".
