John Krakauer

John Krakauer

Dr. Krakauer is currently John C. Malone Professor, Professor of Neurology, Neuroscience, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Director of the Brain, Learning, Animation, and Movement Lab (www.BLAM-lab.org) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research focuses on the cognitive-motor interface and on recovery from neurological conditions. He is also External Professor at the Santa Fe Institute, cofounder of the video-gaming company MSquare Health, cofounder of the creative engineering project named KATA, and chief medical advisor at MindMaze. Dr. Krakauer is the author of "Broken Movement: The Neurobiology of Motor Recovery after Stroke" published by the MIT Press.
