John Krakauer
Dr. Krakauer is currently John C. Malone Professor, Professor of Neurology, Neuroscience, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Director of the Brain, Learning, Animation, and Movement Lab (www.BLAM-lab.org) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research focuses on the cognitive-motor interface and on recovery from neurological conditions. He is also External Professor at the Santa Fe Institute, cofounder of the video-gaming company MSquare Health, cofounder of the creative engineering project named KATA, and chief medical advisor at MindMaze. Dr. Krakauer is the author of “Broken Movement: The Neurobiology of Motor Recovery after Stroke” published by the MIT Press.
