Abstract

The hydrodynamic reformulation of quadratic optimal transport extends quite naturally to Einstein's equations in vacuum, at the cost of matrix density and velocity fields and a multidimensional time variable. By adding the cosmological constant, we even get very close to Euler's model of compressible fluids with constant sound velocity (recent work with Philippe Anjolras).
