The lecture series begun last year is entitled "Mesopotamia under Hammu-rabi's successors". In 2018-2019, we focused on the reign of his son, Samsu-iluna; in 2019-2020, we have extended our study to the so-called Late Palaeo-Babylonian period, i.e. the great century stretching from Samsu-iluna's death in 1712 to the fall of the 1st Babylonian dynasty in 1595 BCC. This 117-year period includes four reigns: that of Abi-ešuh lasted 28 years, from 1711 to 1684; that of Ammi-ditana 37 years, from 1683 to 1647; that of Ammi-ṣaduqa 21 years, from 1646 to 1626, and finally that of Samsu-ditana 31 years, from 1625 to 1595, according to the conventional "average" chronology.
