The actual lectures took place in May and June 2010, on the theme: "From superconducting oxides to cold atoms: matter with strong quantum correlations". This first year of lectures was conceived as an introduction to the physics of quantum systems with strong correlations, from a broad perspective. Several types of physical systems were covered: quantum dot nanostructures, cold atoms in optical lattices, transition metal oxides. We sought to highlight the essential phenomena and concepts common to these systems: Coulomb blockade, Mott transition, descriptions of quasiparticles and their limits.
